Garcia & Medina features the vocal and guitar talents of Michael Medina Hernandez and Lare Frank Garcia.  Michael and Lare have known each other for over 40 years and started their musical careers in the San Francisco Bay Area in the Silicon Valley during the mid-70’s.  Both have shared the stage in concert with Lou Rawls, Tower of Power, Sergio Mendes, Pete Escovedo and many other national and international musical celebrities.

Michael is the founding member of Sacramento’s own Rhythm Vandals and the “Viva Santana show" while performing at many major festivals around Northern California.  Michael’s vocal and guitar skills are first class as he pays homage to Carlos.

​

​Lare is a consummate artist who has established himself as a premier performing and studio musician.  A graduate of the Los Angeles Recording Workshop he is a gifted recording engineer and producer and is widely respected as a master guitarist.  His performance style been described as “passionate” and strongly influenced by his idols Jimi Hendrix, Laurendo Almieda, Jeff Beck, Terry Kath (Chicago) and Neil Giraldo (Pat Benatar).

They joined forces in late 2017 to form an acoustic duet performing in intimate venues away from the crowded large festivals and concerts. They love to engage with their audiences while featuring stunning guitar work and original arrangements with soulful vocals.  Their performances are a mix of original compositions and renditions of classic hits while featuring Spanish style guitar solos.
